The sons of Issachar were distinguished among all of Israel's warriors for something far more valuable than physical strength — they understood the times and knew exactly what God's people ought to do. In this lesson, we examine what it means for the modern believer to develop that same rare quality: the ability to read the spiritual and moral climate of our era with discernment, purpose, and faith rather than fear or confusion. We explore how Jesus rebuked those who could forecast the weather yet failed to interpret the signs of the times, and we ask ourselves the same hard question: are we any different? Drawing from Scripture, history, and honest reflection on the world around us, you will build a biblical framework for understanding the age in which God has deliberately placed you.
